The Winding Road of Faith

More than 60 years since he was ordained as a priest and now well into his 80s, Francis Chadwick looks back on the highways and byways he has explored through an eventful life. He has spent his life travelling in two senses; exploring other lands with his family, and examining his own faith. Although he has sometimes found his belief challenged by personal tragedy, it has remained strong; through childhood, military service, family upheavals and many experiences in his work. “Each one of our lives comes with a roadmap… we all need some sort of faith to lead us on our way. We need vision and determination to survive the challenges repeatedly thrown in the path of our human existence. We also need humour and courage and the ability to reflect, but above all the capacity to hang on when the going is tough”.

Rough Hills

An East End Story.

My Being and Calling

“This book is not about my destination in life; that was set before my birth. Rather, it is about the things that happened along the way.”

Olufunmilayo was born almost 70 years ago into an ethnic royal family in Ogun State, south-western Nigeria. Her father, John Mawobe (Eleyinwa of Eyinwa) was the village head cum church lay reader and her grandfather was the local church patron. Continuity of the royal heritage was at the heart of her family. As time went on, she began a spiritual journey which has culminated in her being ordained as a Captain Mother, the highest women’s rank in the African Christianity Order.

When Angels Fall

Imagine you are looking forward to celebrating your ruby wedding anniversary with the only man you have ever loved, and suddenly he is taken away from you for ever through a series of medical mistakes and misunderstandings which turn an unexpected illness into a tragedy. How do you cope? Six years on, Doreen Kerry is doing her best to deal with the shocking and untimely loss of her beloved husband by searching for that ‘yellow brick road’ which she imagines could lead her to truth and perhaps even justice. Finding that writing helps to keep her sane, she has written this light-hearted fantasy about the case, imagining what might happen if those she feels were responsible could be made to answer in a ‘pop-up court of law’ for their actions.

Overthrowing Evil Altars

The role of altars in the realm of existence is very key because altars are meeting places between the physical and the spiritual, between the visible and the invisible. In one word, an altar is a gateway in the realm of the invisible. By implication, therefore, no matter the plan and the purpose of God for your life, family, children, relationships, businesses, communities, and other personal endeavours, you must have the spiritual understanding that, until satanic and demonic altars in your foundation are overthrown, you are most likely to fall short of God’s plan for your life. No wonder God commanded Moses, “You must destroy their altars…” (Exodus 34:13-14). In this book, Pastor Uzor Ndekwu draws from his many years of experience as a deliverance minister to explain why you must overthrow foundational altars, and why you must confront demonic or satanic altars erected to hinder or frustrate God’s plans for you and your family.

Aragel intends to find out. So begins a journey which takes Aragel to the caves of the Skeleton King and over the Crystal Mountains to a place where he hopes to discover the answer to his quest, and find the mysterious Forest Nymphs.
