The Peculiar Haunting of Esmé Du Frey

Esmédu Frey, young and beautiful but bullied, belittled and abused by her oafish, arrogant gambler of a husband, is being haunted by a supernatural presence. She imagines that the nightly apparitions must be connected to her work as a not very accomplished medium, but slowly it dawns on her that the real threat – to her and others close to her – comes from an incarnation of pure evil which is far from supernatural. When she finally appears to be confronting her fate, strength, courage and help come from an unexpected source.
